Hoi An, Vietnam

Hoi An must be one of the most beautiful cities I've visited, probably competing with Luang Prabang (Laos) for #1. The city is full of its characteristic colorful lanterns, making every street an explosion of colors.

Dalat, Vietnam

Even though it rained the two days I was in Dalat, I'm still really happy I included it in my itinerary. Dalat had lots to offer, in food, views, and activities. Today I took the cable car to Truc Lam Temple. The cable car experience was quite fun, and the views from the top of the hill were incredible, even for a rainy day.

Dalat, Vietnam

Dalat is different from the rest of Vietnam. It's located in Vietnam's highlands, which gives it its characteristic year-round cool weather. The city is quite hilly, and has a lake in its center, surrounded by pine trees. All of that combined with the colonial buildings give the city a very European vibes. After months of heat, I'm really enjoying the cool weather. I missed wearing pants!

Mui Ne, Vietnam

I've seen more sunrises and sunsets in these 4 months of traveling than in the whole rest of my life so far. Why do we do this so rarely in our daily lives? Today I woke up at 4am to see the sunrise at Mui Ne White Sand Dunes. The sunrise was a bit disappointing but the experience was still fun. Back at the hostel I took a long and well deserved nap before my 5h bus to Dalat.

Mui Ne, Vietnam

For some reason, most people travel Vietnam north to south instead of south to north, which is what I'm doing. This has come very useful, because it means all the travelers I meet along the way can share their experiences and advice with me. Today I arrived to Mui Ne, a small town by the sea, most known for its chill vibes and sand dunes.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

I have a love/hate relationship with big cities. I love the buzzing streets, the bright lights, and the vast amount of options for food and fun. However I quickly get bored of the traffic, noise, and crowds, and soon start missing the calm of small towns.

An Binh, Vietnam

So far I've been incredible happy with all the homestay experiences I've had in this trip. Being in a family environment feels very different from the usual hostel vibe. Yesterday I had the opportunity to go fishing with my host and then I helped cook dinner, rolling spring rolls and frying the fish. After lunch I changed scenery drastically, from small village to big modern city.
